Television Jamaica (TVJ) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the. RJR Communications Group (JSE:RJR), and is the leading provider of news, information and entertainment for Jamaican consumers and of Jamaican television programmes worldwide. TVJ is watched on the internet, by site visitors in the United States, Canada, Japan, Africa, the Caribbean and elsewhere. TVJ is Jamaica’s main television station with approximately one million viewers each day, from a population of about two and a half million persons. TVJ’s 5 year market share trend from 2005 (43%) to 2010 (62%) shows the station has increasingly distanced itself from media rivals and cemented its position as Jamaica’s number one choice.
